I'm looking for a list of about thirty colors (RGB values) that are sufficently different so that when used in a bar chart the user can match each bar to that color in the legend.
Does anyone have such a list of colors?
Thanks,
AJ
There are 12 main colors on the color wheel. In the RGB color wheel, these hues are red, orange, yellow, chartreuse green, green, spring green, cyan, azure, blue, violet, magenta and rose. The color wheel can be divided into primary, secondary and tertiary colors.
Generally, black text is the easiest to read, unless the background of your chart is black or another dark color. In that case, use white text. But for most situations, black text is the easiest for readers across the board to decipher.
More color dictionaries than you can shake a stick at. I recommend looking at "small" or "medium".
Hows about constructing the colour from HSV or HSL and dividing the complete range of the hue part into however many bars you are using
