When will Silverlight support [from Microsoft] be officially end-of-lifed?
Modern browsers don't even work with Silverlight; Chrome and Firefox haven't supported it for years, and it was never compatible with Edge. Silverlight is only officially supported in Internet Explorer, which Microsoft plans to retire in mid-2022. You won't lose anything by uninstalling Silverlight.
Microsoft Silverlight is a component of many web browsers that lets them play music and videos. Silverlight used to be incredibly popular, but was eventually made obsolete by HTML5. Almost no major web browser still uses Silverlight, and it will be fully shut down in October 2021.
Silverlight is not available in Modern UI (e.g. using Edge).
Netflix will drop Silverlight in favor of HTML5 for its browser-based streaming service, in part because Microsoft is ending support for its video plugin in 2021.
Microsoft will support Silverlight until 12 Oct 2021:

Support for releases known as Tools ends no less than 12 months following the notification date. Silverlight 5 will support the browser versions listed on this page through 10/12/2021, or though the support lifecycle of the underlying browsers, whichever is shorter. As browsers evolve, the support page will be updated to reflect levels of compatibility with newer browser versions.
If you have investigated Silverlight thoroughly and come to the conclusion that it is the right technology for your project you should use it.
