How do you make arrowheads smaller in Inkscape?

Expand the defs id, and locate the marker id , and expand that too, and you will find a path id . Select the path ID, click on the Transform property. Type in a new scale value to adjust the size of the arrow head. Press Ctrl + Enter to commit the change.

In Inkscape version 9.2, it is possible to change the arrowhead color via the following menu option: Main menu > Extensions > Modify Path > Color Markers ... Note that in the last menu there are several options. Choose what is fit for your needs.

Extensions > Modify Path > Color Markers... will fix arrow color

This is a workaround that had to be introduced due to a limitation in SVG standard.

The line ending is indeed quite limited, I noticed recently that changing the stroke colour does not change the ending colour, which is disappointing. I did however find a workaround, if you want to edit the arrows created by the line ending you could try converting the line to a path and then edit the arrows as a path, thus customizing them in any way you like.

I hope it helps.
