I'm in Visual Studio 2008 editor and I somehow managed to place an icon in the debug column that I have no earthly idea what it is or how to remove it?
Right-click the icon you want to delete. In the drop-down menu that appears, select Delete.
Right-click (or press and hold) the desktop, point to View, and then select Show desktop icons to add or clear the check mark. Note: Hiding all the icons on your desktop doesn't delete them, it just hides them until you choose to show them again.
Just open up the Settings app then navigate to Privacy & Security > Search Permissions > More Settings. In the More Settings section just toggle off “Show Search Highlights.” That's it! With that simple change, there won't be any more icons in the search bar or news highlights in the search menu.
This is a task list shortcut that are added by going (Edit -> Bookmarks -> Add Task List Shortcut). Remove it by going to line the arrow is on and going (Edit -> Bookmarks -> Remove Task List Shortcut). That should be all that needs to be done.
This icon is task linked to this place. Ctrl W + T will show all tasks. Remove that task shortcut.
