Facebook maximum character limits Besides posts and ads, Facebook also has character limits for usernames, Page descriptions and comments: Username character limit – at least 5 characters and up to 50 characters.
In addition, there is a limit of 75 characters in your Page name.
Tap in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name. Tap See your about info. Scroll down and tap Add a nickname, a birth name... below OTHER NAMES.
Maximum length of a Facebook username is currently 50 characters.
While trying to create a "really long name" as @BK suggested, the Facebook user account view complains with anything of 51 characters or greater:
