I plan to use MPI for my C++ code. I have installed MPICH2 on my computers. But I do not know much about MPI and hope to find some materials to read. I hope you experts can recommend some good materails to me. Any advice will be appreciated.

What is MPI? MPI is a library of routines that can be used to create parallel programs in C or Fortran77. Standard C and Fortran include no constructs supporting parallelism so vendors have developed a variety of extensions to allow users of those languages to build parallel applications.
MPI is a directory of C++ programs which illustrate the use of the Message Passing Interface for parallel programming. MPI allows a user to write a program in a familiar language, such as C, C++, FORTRAN, or Python, and carry out a computation in parallel on an arbitrary number of cooperating computers.
Welcome to the MPI tutorials! In these tutorials, you will learn a wide array of concepts about MPI. Below are the available lessons, each of which contain example code. The tutorials assume that the reader has a basic knowledge of C, some C++, and Linux.
Message Passing Interface (MPI) is a standard used to allow several different processors on a cluster to communicate with each other. In this tutorial we will be using the Intel C++ Compiler, GCC, IntelMPI, and OpenMPI to create a multiprocessor ‘hello world’ program in C++.
Both books were written by the guys who wrote the MPI library and headed up the standardization effort. One nice thing about Using MPI is that it's available online so you can check it out w/o spending money :-) Parallel Programming with MPI by Peter S. Pacheco is a good intro book.
Parallel Programming with MPI by Peter S. Pacheco is a good intro book. Note, the book uses C, but it should be an easy transition to using the C++ MPI bindings. LLNL has a pretty good one.
I'm assuming you already know how to program C++ pretty well and have a basic understanding of parallel programming (or at least know how you want to parallelize your code).
I would check out the book Using MPI first. Using MPI 2 is the follow on book that discusses using the new bits in MPi-2. Both books were written by the guys who wrote the MPI library and headed up the standardization effort.
