I saw a couple another ones like 'feature=feedu', 'feature=relmfu' in a URL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0&feature=relmfu). I can attach or remove these from the URL and nothing changes. Does anyone know what these parameters mean and what kind of information is being passed using these parameters?
The symbol ~ is used to approximate numbers informally. If you want to approximate a number (such as a birth year), use “c.” (meaning circa, the Latin word for “around”) instead. In math (you’ll recognize this if you’re in high school Geometry), this symbol is used to express the fact that two shapes are similar but not congruent.
The subject of the sentence is the plural noun changes. Therefore, the verb must be plural. As the post states, do is the plural form of the verb. Please help. Do/Does either of you have a pen? While the rule states that the third person singular should be used, the fact that the people are being addressed directly (you) makes me want to use ‘do’.
In writing, the “/” symbol is used to stand in for “and”, “or” or “and & or”. You can use it to join two things, meaning “and”. You can also use it to denote two options, meaning “or”. Or you can use it to mean both, “and & or”. In writing, therefore, “/” can be an incredibly powerful ally if you know how to use it well.
The verb “do” is among the most common English verbs, and like most verbs we use a lot, it’s irregular. “Do” and “does” are both forms of the verb “do” in the simple present, so which is correct, “do” or “does?” When you talk about yourself, you should say, “I do” as in “I do the dishes,” not “I does the dishes.”
I assume they're being used for analytics.
After a video completes, a grid of videos that YouTube suggests you watch that it believes are related to this video, appear and are clickable. When you click one of those, the URL is replaced with that video's URL with the &feature=related tacked on the end so that it knows statistically as confirmation that you clicked it (as a presumption). It will update other videos with higher click-thru counts as "related" to that video. When people post a video with that &feature=related part on the end, they're just copying the address as a whole not knowing that section needs to be removed..
