I want to make a summary of the main differences between all the Mysql engines and of course the most populars also.
And what criteria should I use to determine which engine to use?

There are two types of engines in MySQL: transactional and non-transactional. InnoDB is the default engine for MySQL 5.5 and above versions.
InnoDB has row-level locking. MyISAM only has full table-level locking. InnoDB has what is called referential integrity which involves supporting foreign keys (RDBMS) and relationship constraints, MyISAM does not (DMBS). InnoDB supports transactions, which means you can commit and roll back.
A storage engine is a software module that a database management system uses to create, read, update data from a database. There are two types of storage engines in MySQL: transactional and non-transactional. For MySQL 5.5 and later, the default storage engine is InnoDB.
Storage engines are MySQL components that handle the SQL operations for different table types. InnoDB is the default and most general-purpose storage engine, and Oracle recommends using it for tables except for specialized use cases. (The CREATE TABLE statement in MySQL 8.0 creates InnoDB tables by default.)

Use InnoDB, if you're in doubt. It is general-purpose and performs well.
