deployment

So on the transporter documentation page they say you can download transporter on windows. But all I see are options for books, TV shows, movies etc. And if I click those, I can't seem to find it anyways. So are we really able to use transporter to deploy apps on windows or not?

Can you use Apple Developer on Windows?

This is because Xcode only runs on macOS with the iOS SDK. However, if you wish to develop an iOS app on Windows, you need virtualization software. Using a virtual machine such as VirtualBox and VMware, you get access to virtual Mac OS. Hence, developing iOS apps on Windows will be easier for you.

Can I upload IPA from Windows?

No. Unfortunately, you need a Mac machine to do this.

How do I use Apple Transporter app?

Simply drag and drop your content into Transporter to get started. Validate and upload multiple files simultaneously for fast delivery. View delivery progress, including validation warnings, errors, and delivery logs, so you can quickly fix any issues. See a history of past deliveries, including date and time.

From my experience, that is because you are not logged into an Apple ID that is currently enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. Follow these steps:

  1. Enroll as an Individual here: https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/
  2. Once you are enrolled, be sure to log into developer.apple.com
  3. Now click the download link documented on the transporter documentation page: https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/ra/resources/download/Transporter__Windows/bin

This should solve your issue. Let me know if you have any questions!
