Yuriy has been developing web software and advocating for strong developer communities since 2004.

Yuriy, who grew up in Ukraine and Japan, cofounded markup4u.com and has worked with Canadian (attachments.me, kik.com, Fabric Engine, unbounce.com) and US based (PlayHaven, Cloudant, Meteor) startups as front-end engineer and developer advocate. He organized Worldwide Meteor Day, Apache CouchDB Conf and helped run CascadiaJS conference.

Yuriy likes to dance Argentine Tango, take photos, travel and cats.
