I am one of pioneers in neural computing. I published a world's first book entitled neural network parallel computing in 1992. I published a paper published in Science in 1989 which is the world's first application using neural computing for graph planarization. We made the world's first neural application for brain tumor segmentation using MRI images with Cleveland Clinic Foundation. We built the world's first neural validator BV6000 for Euro banknotes before 2002 which was actually installed and used in more than 12000 places in Europe. I developed the prototype of an AI drilling machine for Chuo-shinkansen between Tokyo and Nagoya which makes shafts (vertical hole) every 3~5km each with 40m diameter and 100m depth. The AI prototype outperforms super-skilled human engineers with self-health checking embedded in real time.
I am still very active to develop prototypes of AI systems by myself. I am skillful in creating decent datasets for real AI products. I am an inventor of a mobile phone with camera embedded. I was an advisor of Nintendo pocket camera which uses the artificial retina CMOS camera developed by Mitsubishi. Energy harvesting by commuters walking in railway stations was very popular. The project is included in official science textbook for junior high schools in Japan. Invented transverse speakers are used in Seoul Metro where you can clearly hear human voices in very noisy places. I invented hill-climbing term in neural optimization. I am currently advising to more than 50 organizations in the world for developing AI and security systems.
