My passion lies in the intersection between software and people. I've focused on growing my competence in developing both throughout my career.

As an engineer and technical lead, I have always enjoyed working on problems that throw curveballs, on projects that seem daunting until you decompose them and truly get to understand the domain, the problem space, and the plethora of tools at your disposal. Historically, I've found great joy in the particular challenges around legacy projects, bringing them into the 21st century through a combination of platform migrations where applicable and the application of rigorous engineering practices throughout.

As a leader and manager, I focus on technical excellence and - more importantly - human excellence. I always strive to break down barriers that stand in the way of self-improvement, contentedness and general job satisfaction, and coach and support those I work for.
