Having learned to program as a result of the downfall of Eastgermany I try to stay tuned with current developments in programming. Being a protestant theologian by education it still is kind of a hobby and I strife that it remains exactly that. My main interest lies in expressivity of Computer Science in general. Thus I have a rather philosophical view on it.

This is what I have done:

• SR1 (it was my first school calculator)
• BASIC on Robotron KC 87
• later on some Turbo Pascal experiences
• MaxonC/C++ on an Commodore Amiga 1200 (my first very own computer)
• Assembler on the same machine
• at last C++ (my language of choice)

I played around with:

• Ruby
• Squeak
• Haskell
