Kevin Hazzard is a software developer/architect and Microsoft Technical Computing MVP living and working in Richmond, Virginia. Kevin speaks to developers throughout the mid-Atlantic region once or twice a month about programming trends and technologies. He has also served a teacher in the Virginia Community College System delivering 40,000 hours of face time to hundreds of students over the last decade. Kevin has served multiple terms as an adviser to Virginia's Joint Commission on Technology and Science. As a member of the Intel Architecture Labs, Kevin authored and won patents in peer networking technology and served as Intel's representative to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). When he's not learning a new programming language Kevin enjoys hiking, birdwatching, etymology, politics, history, motorcycling, shooting sports and welding.
