Ray Kelly is a security professional with seventeen years of development experience, ten of which has focused on the internet security space. Ray has been a key player in multiple successfully acquired start-ups. He was the lead developer and Business Unit Director for WebInspect with SPI Dynamics which is an industry leading application security scanner. SPI had a successful exit when it was acquired in 2008 by HP. After HP, he moved onto another start-up called Purewire where he focused on Windows clients for their cloud content security service. Purewire also had a successful acquisition when it was acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2011. There, Ray focused on Windows and mobile technologies that enabled Barracuda to expand their security appliances to new opportunities which made a significant and positive impact on revenue (Barracuda went public in 2013). Currently Ray is a Practice Principal for HPE Fortify on Demand where he contributes in security research, business vision and customer success.
