Nothing was ever learned from the questions that were not asked.

There is no such thing as a stupid question:

My first question was a PHP question on StackOverflow earned a -2 which I asked because I was presented with a interview question I could not solve. I lost some points in terms of votes for reputation. But, that question came from a place of misunderstanding something. I am very happy I asked that question because it gave me information to something new that I did not know.

Regardless of your question, if you have a confusion or need clarification, ask it! It might be a negatively voted, or even eventually a positively voted question but your question will be answered eventually and will ultimately help you and others understand something more.

Clarification to a question is more important that the reputation.

Who knows, your question might actually be a true notable one, that might earn a high vote count after sometime providing benefit to other participants, programmers and community members.

So keep asking!!! Keep discovering!!!
