I'm a software engineer because I love building things. I have experience across the entire stack. I'm 100% self-taught. I started my career working independently. I've been working full-time as a Software Developer/Engineer for 6 years and counting. I am experienced in working with and leading small teams. I have remote experience.
I care about developing responsible and maintainable software. My aim is to write code that looks boring and therefor approachable to beginners. "Code golf" isn't my sport. I rely on libraries that the community trusts to accelerate my productivity and keep my teams from maintaining software that's secondary or tertiary to our primary objective.
Mentorship is important to me. Working with strong, patient mentors got me to where I am today. I will always feel excited and obligated to return that favor to any engineer I can.
