Senior Software Engineer that's been around the block, building service and good ol' COTS style products over the course of about 15 years.
More recently, I've been involved in different web-based applications and service API development. At bbcom, I'd spent a lot of time moving an older monolith onto a "multiple service" style cloud deployment in AWS. Before that, I'd developed software-style web service applications to be installed within customer environments at Perforce.
In terms of tooling, I've used a lot of Java, but really enjoy using Kotlin, and am optimistic about it's adoption. For frameworks, I've employed the Spring framework largely, with additional tools like Hystrix and RxJava. The most recent data tools I've used are MySQL, a bit of Mongo and Redis, though I still appreciate PostgreSQL.
