My first computer was a ZX=Spectrum, where I learned Basic and Z80A assembly. Then I graduated to PCs and learned a number of languages, including Pascal, Lisp, C, C++, Java, Python.

My favourite is C++ and when I want to knock something quickly I prefer Python.

I have more than 20 years experience in software engineering and worked in multiple domains including defence and biotechnology, mainly as a team leader and software engineering manager.

In defence I also developed and delivered a software architecture course.

When I don't think of computers, I go flying. I have a private pilot's license and love taking a Piper Archer for a spin around Sydney harbour.
