I write code for Square, and have a PhD in Applied Math from Northwestern University (2013) for work on optimization methods. I also studied Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences at University of Washington(2005-2009).

In my past lives, I have been a construction worker, sysadmin, math and computer tutor, marathon runner [walker...], mathematician, and freelancer programmer. I am interested in software systems for machine learning and risk decisions.
