I'm a PhD candidate at SUNY UB. I'm in a physical chemistry group that also does a lot of small-molecule design and synthesis of diarylethenes. I use those molecules to make photoactive crystalline solids and analyze the crystalline solids using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. I also use computational chemistry and UV-Vis spectroscopy to help understand some of the properties of the synthesized diarylethenes. In my downtime, I'm trying to teach myself how to program in python.
