Came to Japan in 2010 as a farmer, and spent a few years getting familiar with the language.
Transferred to the translation industry in 2016, and quickly found that machine translation and the technology involved was much, much more in demand than human translation. With this as a trigger, I took up software development, first focusing on language-related applications, but quickly expanding. Now here in 2021, I'm a full-stack developer, having deployed numerous applications and data pipelines for companies in Japan, Canada, and Australia.
My farmer past is still very much with me, so I'm currently focused on creating apps and systems for precision agriculture, using Angular, React, and Swift.
