If I have to choose between answering a question and solving a problem, I'll pick the latter every time.

Calculators and RPGs are not good Python projects for beginners. The former can easily become insecure and/or bloated, and the latter are almost guaranteed to become bloated. Try something like hangman or tic-tac-toe instead.
