During my studies of Computational Linguistics I fell in love with web technologies. After then 4 years in client-oriented agency work I deep-dived into the insurance industry. I was mostly involved in implementing cross-organization risk checks in the "old" SOA way working mostly SOAP-RPC and enterprise ESB driven systems. What I learned there is that Software Development, Architecture & Management had to radically change. Agile methodologies like XP, Scrum, Kanban as well as whollistic Software Design approaches like Domain-Driven-Design and event-driven-architectures.

Currently I am leading a Microservices Transformation project at FlixBus, a leading european long-distance bus travel provider.
