I’m looking for a new challenge at a company that rewards hard work and recognizes leadership ability. I value a workplace that encourages learning fast and empowers its teams to build innovative software with the most modern languages and tools available. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I’m looking for a role where I can make a huge impact at the company, and thus a major impact on the industry at large.
I currently work as a technical lead & full-stack developer at cleverbridge. Since joining, I've managed multiple development initiatives that have earned recognition locally as a finalist for the 2016 ITA CityLIGHTS Awards’ Outstanding Technology Development Award and internationally as a finalist for the Product Manager of the Year at the 2016 V3 Digital Technology Leaders Awards. My track record of success at cleverbridge and contributions to the Chicago development community recently led me to be named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 20 In Their 20s 2017.
My impact at cleverbridge extends beyond the codebase. I am a fierce advocate for diversity in the workplace. As a member of the LGBTQ community and a female developer in a male-dominated field, I have committed myself to creating an environment that’s inclusive, supportive, and advances opportunities for women and underrepresented groups to be successful in software development.
I have led and helped organize multiple hackathons within Chicago to empower women to use technology to make a difference and further a spirit of inclusion and community in the local tech scene. In October 2015, I co-founded She Hacks Chi, a cleverbridge hackathon that brings women coders and experienced mentors together to develop applications that will inspire girls ages 8-15 to become interested in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) fields. I was also an instrumental member of the team that organized Hack to the Future in May 2016, which brought together Chicago-area coders and CPS educators to build applications that extend learning inside and outside of the classroom.
