I am also a guitarist as well (playing guitar since 9 yrs. old), music composer (progressive psycho-trash) and not-good-AT-ALL home music producer. Because, being a good music producer requires knowledge and gear to play with, and not every one of us can do that job, with or without gears and toys ...
Conclusion? No, I don't believe in the end of the world. End of humanity? Perhaps. World? Where are boundaries to @that? Let's define .. "world"..
One thing is for sure. With or without "us", the world will continue to exist.
