___GEEKING_OUT_SINCE_FOREVA___
After starting with Logo's Turtle in 1988 and computer science at school I went on to finish my bachelor's degree in electronic engineering in 2001. And then started the real sponging up all kinds of tech exposure & skills.
It has developed to the extent that I've gained extensive first-hand experience and insight into real-world implementations:
This range of skills has great utility for telematics specialization. My background allows me to bridge the gap between hardware and backend systems. This has empowered me to cycle between an architect and developer role on a constant basis.

DATA
Data analysis is something I need to do often due to my involvement in the full value chain (from data generation to storage & presentation). Over the years I've rolled a few of my own techniques to extract value from data and to answer questions properly and understandably through visualization etc.
I have a bit of a creative side to me (music, photography & videography). This has allowed me to make data more easily consumed and help with the usability of user interfaces too.
TRACKING STUFF
When there is source control management and task tracking around (data of any kind really), you'll find me interested too:
