Despite having graduated from the Barcelona Tech University in telecomunications engineering, I’ve always had computers and the IT world in my heart. Blame it on two events occurred in 1982: I had my fist computer, a 48KB ZX Spectrum and I watched Tron movie. Those two events changed my life inevitably towards the geek I’ve become.
Currently working as IT architect and content management expert at UPCnet, the Barcelona Tech University IT company since 2001. I have been leading the design and technical architecture of the more than 100 projects undertaken by the UPCnet Plone Team since its inception in 2004. OccasionaI teacher of non-technical end users and developers in Plone and Zope technologies.
I’ve written the book Plone 3 Intranets (August 2010, Packt Publishing) targeted to beginners and users with no previous experience about Plone who wants to learn to design, build, and deploy a reliable, full-featured, and secure Plone-based intranet easily from scratch.
