I'm a backend C++ software developer who likes working on complex systems. Although I started programming trying to write a balloon shooting game in QBasic with a friend (didn't everyone begin with a game?:) ) when we were 13 y.o., I had no idea what to do with my "hobby"​ until I was 19.

But now it's quite obvious for me. I like working on things that are big - I like trying to understand how they work internally and make them work faster. And the thing which gives me the biggest pleasure at work is implementing something that sounds horribly hard in an extremely simple way. Up to this point in my career I have been satisfying this urge by working on distributed systems and database engines` internals.
