My great passion in life is to solve difficult challenges and create new products and business that people love. In the early 1990s I was a founding member of the digital TV industry and I am know as the man behind some well known technology and business innovations. I have a wide range of experience from running teams and managing projects to designing products and creating winning strategies. I am always on the lookout for new experiences and challenges. At Atos I head up innovation for the product division and I am a member of the scientific community which means I am one of 50 people selected from 90,000 to create the long term strategy and advise the board on its realisation.
A common feature of my leadership style is that I like to look for opportunities to bring people together and focus their efforts on creating something great. This was especially challenging at UPC and Chello where there were cultural, technology and business barriers to effective and productive collaboration. After implementing my new management structures I managed to overcome many of these which lead to the creation of some really exciting products such as BBC Join Any Time Quiz (the red button on Eastenders, and many other programs). Web Remote control – using the Web EPG to control your digital TV box Some really fun games and Many, Many EPGs
I feel comfortable presenting and working with people from all levels of a company from the board to the programming team. I have been in front of large audiences at TV evolution and IBC and I have lectured at Goldsmiths university.
I hope that after reading this summary of me you will see that what I most enjoy in my work life is having some tough problems, some great products to make and a creative, enthusiastic team to work with.
