I pretty much knew my life would be consumed by programming since I was ten years old. At that time, I watched my uncle install a program that took over our family computer. It hijacked the full screen and you had to know the exact pixels to click to get out of it. Well, if you didn't know about CTLR+Alt+Del... you did then. My uncle then navigated us through the code, and my brother and I were hooked. Soon after, my brother was writing spam bots for AOL in VB. I however, was more interested in building websites. I spent most of high school hacking HTML together for every garage band in my home town. Do you remember Geocities? Oh yeah? That is where I lived! I still remember being excited when I setup my first marquee.

Anyhow, I went to school to be a Mechanical Engineer... boring. Why? The DotCom crash sent all of us code junkies into a bit of an identity crisis. It wasn't long that everything soared again. While in school, I studied C++, PHP, and Action Script (good ole Flash). Again, my uncle stepped in and had introduced me to C#.NET. After many months of building my "unicorn" project in ASP.NET, I "mastered" the framework/language and landed my first job. I've seen a lot of beauty and horror since then. I currently mentor a lot of developers, and I really enjoy when they pay it forward. I'm a firm believer in spreading the knowledge.
