Hello World! Shin here.
I've been building software since I was in middle school. I was dropping in customizations into Xanga and building cheeky little Javascript snippets to add some custom flavors into my peers and classmate's blog sites.
During my University years... I decided to detour and majored in English. I still snuck into computer science and mathematic courses and found myself organizing truth tables to construct well factored arguments for my term papers. During that time, I was serving as a QA tester and a documentation writer for an independent Point-of-Sale software company.
Upon graduation, I found myself working in marketing which turned out to be a lot of spreadsheets. I found myself writing software to automate the bulk of the reports the organization was creating Ad-Hoc. I rediscovered my passion for delegating tasks to a fleet of computers.
I've spent the last 7 years building high traffic applications and reducing engineering overhead by delivering thoroughly tested, well-factored and neatly documented codebases. I love hopping across different industries and learn each business and figure out how technology can further boost that organization.
My toolbelt consists of Java, Spring/Spring Boot. I've got a full toolshed working with Ruby, Node, Python, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, AWS. and the list goes on and on. I love learning and teaching new technologies.
