Most importantly, I want to serve for a purpose. To wake up each morning excited, and to sign off for the evening knowing that I’ve enriched a life, made someone happy, or given joy to a person’s day.
Forward-thinking, passionate software engineer, architect, and driven team leader is seeking a challenging, remote-first role. I possess a unique and unorthodox vision to solve problems which facilitates innovation and elegant solutions. Extensive expertise as engineer, developer, entrepreneur, consultant, and management allows me a unique perspective into not only the technical aspects of software architecture, but also the business requirements, budgetary constraints, and resource management that accompanies the environment. As an engineer and platform designer, I try to let the data and the business needs speak to the architecture.
My aim as a Software Architect & Engineer is to design and develop reliable applications that will maximize efficiency and minimize risks. My goal is to take sophisticated and modern approaches to create scalable, maintainable, and understandable services using my expertise in building dynamic solutions and my deep understanding of logic, software lifecycles, data integration, and the passion for ongoing innovation. As a lifelong learner, I’m looking for my next role to be challenging and to foster growth, both internally and from my peers.
My career and work experience are only a portion of who I am. Sometimes it’s nice to know about me aside from when I’m behind the computer monitor. Originally from the Missouri Ozarks, I love Texas and have lived in the Dallas area for five years now. I’ve been happily married for 10+ years, no kids, but four “fur-children” (2 dogs, 2 cats).
As a volunteer NWS/NOAA Skywarn severe weather spotter, I’m also an FCC-licensed amateur radio operator (ham); call sign KI5FER. My wife and I love antiques, history, and generally collecting all things old. I’m a nut for classic cars and an avid “wannabe” collector of 40’s and 50’s automobiles. Lawn care is my biggest hobby, studying agronomy in my free time, and keeping a golf-course-lush lawn.
And lastly, I’m a fanatical user of the word, “y’all”.
