I deal daily with challenging issues in a live, time-critical environment on a distributed computing system. Without the luxury of hours-on-end in a development lab, I am accustomed to coming up with unique methods to quickly probe and resolve bugs when they arise. I get to have a lot of fun solving complicated problems and constantly learning new aspects of an ever-changing, large-scale application.
I daily have a positive impact on the effectiveness of the mission at the National Training Center. I have the special opportunity to support systems that help save lives, and have directly contributed to increasing the stability and up-time of our systems by 75%. I directly support and interact with over 200 users of the software I work with, and have an impact on thousands of other users worldwide.
