Since October 2018 I work as a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Bernstein GmbH which is a start-up company in the heart of Munich. I am the first Employee of the company. Here we are building a web application on top of the Bitcoin blockchain to help companies secure their IPs as well as their trade secrets. Our stack is: Ruby on Rails, Node JS, Docker and Google Cloud (Storage, Kubernetes).
In April 2017, I joined BLOKS. GmbH as a Software Engineer in the Application team for 18 months. BLOKS. manufacture electronic components for e-bikes and e-scooters, and partners with other companies in the domain to deliver complete electronic systems for e-bike manufacturers. I worked on wide rang of tasks involving many programming languages and tools such as: C++, Qt, Docker, CMake, Bash.
Prior to that, I worked in Brainlab AG's Patient Data Management (PDM) team for 18 months. My daily tasks involved framework and middleware development in C++ and Javascript. DICOM and HL7 standards were a part of my daily work.
I also have a good background in the area of Performance Engineering. For three years, I worked as a Research Assistant at the High Performance Computing departments of the Erlangen Computing Center (RRZE) and the Human Brain Project (HBP). My research was mainly focused on modelling and optimizing performance of scientific codes on Intel and IBM architectures. Throughout my work, I used many APIs like OpenMP, MPI and CUDA, and learned about different techniques of blocking as well as code vectorization to improve code performance. My daily programming tasks were mainly in C, and occasionally C++. I also developed very good skills in scripting languages like Python.
I am keen on combining my skills into interesting ideas.
