I started using R in 2011 and since then it's been my go-to program for analysis and data manipulation.

I mainly analyze ecological datasets with some of my past experiences working on fishing vessel movement in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, lake trout and rainbow trout movements in small freshwater lakes, looking at long term environmental data (temperature, precipitation, etc.). I've also done a lot of modelling such as estimating age of fish using their total length with mixture models and catch-per-unit-effort for fisheries in North America.
