I currently work full-time as a software developer for the high-throughput crystallization lab (HTS) at Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute. I develop, maintain, and support software solutions for various aspects of basic biomedical research, including data analysis, review of crystallization results, and laboratory robotics automation. I also maintain and troubleshoot hardware components of various high-throughput automated systems.
I'm also a hobbyist game developer. I'm especially interested in the application of "random" procedurally-generated content to open-world adventure/RPG games.
Most of my development is Java-based. I worked with Swing for about 10 years and have recently switched over to JavaFX. I have more limited knowledge of C++, Visual Basic 6.0 & .Net.
