When I first encountered development, I realized that it was very similar to the Lego bricks. As a child, I simply loved to build anything from it, but now I understand that this makes you feel as a creator. You can think freely, create new from the old, go beyond and do not limit your imagination. And that’s the reason I like frontend development.
I love tasks that require creative engagement. If my task is purely mechanical, I try to find an opportunity to improve the process of solving it. I like to think that all the things around us can be improved if you grasp the needs of their users well enough. These ideas cannot be «stolen like an artist», they are just born inside, and if you are brave enough and have the great team next to you, you will realize them.
You might say that I don’t split activities to work and hobbies. It’s just a certain way of thinking. For example, once I was reading on a bus and thought that it would be cool to develop a stabilizer application for the books on mobile devices. One day I will return to the realization of this idea.
And yet there are some things that can capture me with the beauty of other kinds of processes. Especially riding a bicycle — you can both ride alone, competing with the previous version of yourself, and take part in the race, exchanging energy with other participants. Or yoga — I like the feeling of concentration and calmness that it gives, and the ability to communicate with those who are head and shoulders above me. You know, as in that quote: If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room.
