As a developer started in C++ but it had no progress at that time. Much later returned to C but it was C# already. Now I'm a full-stack software engineer that interested in efficient web development. Most of my commercial projects are restricted in their software stacks. Not every time I can use something quick and new. But existing code could be efficient also.
