I am a Senior Software Engineer who has been programming most of my life, as far back as Borland Pascal in high school. I live and work in the Tampa Bay area, and love doing development. During the day, I work on a large enterprise application for a great company, working with Java/JavaEE and a myriad of open source frameworks (Struts, Spring, Hibernate to name a few) on the JBoss platform.

In the evenings, weekends, and whenever I can find free time, I am always trying to learn and grow as an engineer. I have spent a lot of time doing personal development projects in Microsoft .NET, working with ASP.NET, WCF, Linq-to-SQL, Entity Framework, NHibernate.

My latest interests are MongoDB (and high scalability databases), Groovy and Grails, and just about anything else interesting that I see on a blog, article, or forum.
