My first experience with computers and programming was with ZX Spectrum, copying and modifying BASIC code examples from books my father bought.
Later, I used simple tools to develop simple games: Klik&Play, The Games Factory, and DIV Studio Games.
I learned to program in C, Java, Prolog, and PHP with Oracle and MySQL at the university (where my love for Linux flourished); by myself, I learned Python, Javascript with Mootools and jQuery, and SDL and GTK+ C libraries, and also tried a bit of OpenGL.
I started IT professional work as a web developer freelancer, using PHP, HTML5, and CSS. My first professional project was a CMS development. I worked for a company to develop mostly online contests. After getting a Zend certificate, I moved to agap2 and worked as a consultant for SAPO, a big Portuguese company, where I learned a lot.
