My commercial programming was in COBOL (yes I am that ancient), FORTRAN and various assemblers. I have since taught myself Python, which is by far my favourite programming language, R, C and C++ as well as some x86 and ARM assembler.
I retain an interest in database management systems from early in my career working on the development team of a DBMS.
