When I was 7 years old, my father worked as an aerospace engineer, and I was always fascinated to see him get on his computer. This was way back in the 1980’s! I was so fascinated with computers and what they could do that I asked him to teach me how to write software programs.
My first language was Quick Basic and it ran in DOS! I have been programming ever since, and it has been over 30 years now! I have learned multiple languages since then, and intricate details about file systems. In fact, I had spent so many years learning about computers and my passion for them was so strong that in 2006, I decided to help people solve bugs in their code for free!
While helping people solve problems online, Microsoft noticed the quality of programming advice I had given in the programming community and awarded me with the “Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award”. In fact, I have received this award 4 times in a row!
From my passion for computers, derives many benefits for my clients! First off, my experience tends to significantly cut research hours during development. Next, I like to automate everything. For some people, this simply means automating a single task, but, unlike many developers, I like to automate many components of programming itself. I write quite a few programs that are written to write other programs. This helps me to reduce billable hours for my clients. Did I mention, that I like what I do? This keeps me moving along at a good pace too!
