I pursued Architecture for about 13 years and could never quite catch her. Then I decided to swap my career and hobby, and started dedicating myself to web development professionally. I have a background in design but a passion for coding. I have taught myself (or rather let Douglas Crockford teach me) JavaScript. I also know html+css, full-stack web development with Ruby on Rails, and to a lesser degree with Django.
Lately, as I've become involved in projects as a strictly front-end coder, I've become acquainted with node.js as a build system, with tools like Webpack and Babel.
These days my front-end weapon of choice is Facebook's React, with Redux if the project grows too complex. I recently quit jQuery (with love and gratitude), but will go back to it if I deem it absolutely necessary. I'm also competent with D3 (data visualization) and Three.js (3D/webgl).
