I'm a software engineer at a non-profit science organization. But I've been programming long before it was a job. Started on the web with HTML, and Perl via CGI (Common Gateway Interface, not the graphics stuff, though I did dabble in After Effects). Picked up CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, and C over the years. Developed for web and desktop. I've been known to dabble with Swift and macOS/iOS development.
These days, I develop mostly for web. Python has remained my first tool of choice, and I use it daily, along with JavaScript (mostly ES6), and HTML/CSS.
