Hi,

I am a man about 40, a polymath who loves to teach the computer how to do things.

My academic background is in Applied Mathematics (Statistics / Data Science) and Finance.

The first program I sold was a data analysis system in Python, it was about year 2000 and Futurama rocked.

The programming languages I know best are: Python, Ruby, Javascript, Java, C, Mathematica, and Lisp. I have used many others. Recently I am deep into Smalltalk.

I wrote a few applications in Android, they are on the Google Play Store. I don't maintain them, I don't have an Android phone now.

I am a fullstack WEB developer, I write the frontend in HTML+CSS and Javascript/jQuery, the backend in NodeJS. A few recent applications I wrote are: A Map for SLAC, and a Portolio management system.

As desktop machine I don't have a strict preferences. For serevrs I use Linux/Debian or FreeBSD. Which I can configure and maintain, providing the most common services: Web, WiFi, VPN, Firewall, NFS. I am active in the FreeBSD community.

Recently I started to use GitHub, so you can see some of my public work at my work repository, all project starting with "elas" are mine. It is mostly Elasticsearch related software. My personal GitHub page is this.

I am of the church of Emacs, but sometimes, on very special occasions Vi is better.
