Murray Stokely joined Google in 2005 and for the last several years has managed a statistical computing team at Google that applies statistics to challenging problems in web search, distributed storage systems, and datacenter design. This mixed group includes software engineers, quantitative analysts, and research scientists working together. Prior to Google, Murray studied Mathematics and the Foundations of Computer Science at Oxford University.
