Mohammad is a computer scientist. He did his PhD in DATA lab (with Prof. Christoph Koch) at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland). In his PhD, he worked on the intersection of database systems and programming languages. Right after his PhD, he became the first software engineer to join a wonderful startup, RelationalAI. In the past four years, he's been working on building an incredible cloud-native relational knowledge-graph management system and reasoning engine from the ground up. He contributed to the design and implementation of almost all key components of the product at RelationalAI. Besides, he's got a lot of experience with testing and benchmarking database systems from both his PhD and RelationalAI. Moreover, he's interested in designing programming languages and has developed a taste in the past 10 years (which started from his collaboration with Martin Odersky (inventor of Scala) at EPFL) and continued with having awesome programming languages experts by his side at RelationalAI). Recently, Mohammad has joined the Query team at MongoDB and has an interesting journey ahead.
