I'm a hands-on engineering leader, experienced in the entire product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through development, deployment, and operational support. I have experience with various languages and frameworks, including Go, Typescript, Java, Groovy, Javascript, Python, Terraform, Spring, Angular, Jest, Flutter, among others. I find tests to be an excellent form of documentation and a great confidence builder, so I gravitate toward languages, frameworks, and methodologies that streamline the testing process (Jest, Spock, and JUnit are some of my favorites).
I built the MX Ledger platform to help small aircraft owners track their maintenance records online so they can be easily searched and shared. The platform leverages the latest serverless technology to deliver a secure and durable solution with minimal operating costs. The blockchain-backed platform provides an auditable, versioned history of all transactions without the typical costs and latencies associated with distributed ledgers.
Before starting MX Ledger, I was a co-founder of Watchwith, an interactive video platform used by NBCUniversal, Fox, Disney, CBS Interactive, and Viacom. I was responsible for managing the engineering team that developed software for devices ranging from smart TVs, STBs, and mobile devices (iOS and Android) to cloud-based microservices. I led Watchwith's early adoption of cloud technology from Amazon Web Services, a choice that allowed our platform to scale to meet high-traffic events like American Idol and The Voice. Comcast acquired Watchwith in December 2016, where it has become a core component of the Xfinity platform.
Before joining Watchwith, I held engineering and management roles with consulting companies in the U.S. and U.K., designing and developing some of the first web applications for companies like Gymboree, American Century, PBS, and Toyota. As a consultant, I developed requirements gathering and use-case development skills that I continue to use on every project.
