I am medical doctor (M.D.) by training and mathematician by accident. During my work as a researcher I found out that I could fusion both passions. I started studying mathematics while developing my career as a doctor and today I work at the intersection of medicine and machine learning.

That means that I use numbers to understand patients and diseases better. I work with large amounts of data to build tools that help us to contextualize all the information and make better decisions. I think it's the cross section between medicine and data driven technologies the one that will set the pace the medicine of the future.

I'm very active in the Python and data science community and I really enjoy working on open source projects.
